Removing Pain Causation

In my practice I work on things you can do to eliminate causes of pain. Most of the time I find pains around the spine, shoulders, knees, and feet can be eliminated by changing physical habits.

1. How you sit- Most people’s sitting posture is frankly poor. Generally you should stand up and move around every 15 minutes to remove compressed static joints and muscle tension in the spinal column, pelvis, and shoulders from progressing into pain and stiffness. I will help you fix your ergonomics.

2. Gait- How you walk and run will impact your longevity more than any other exercise. It’s not hard to pick out how deconditioned or aging people walk. They sway, shorten their gait, wear too comfortable shoes, dont swing their arms — often their right arm, poke their forward and round their back.

The more they walk in this manner the faster they wear out their body. The result is weakened flabby, saggy glutes, lateral hips, pecs, lats, pecs and overworking shoulders that injure rotator cuff muscles. Learned causal patterns from old injuries, depression, ergonomics, wt gain, and mobility issues can be improved with body awareness, mobility and corrective exercises.

I utilized well established physical therapy practices and excellent equipment to make the process easier. I provide you education, video and notes so you know how to proceed outside my gym.

My comprehensive assessment takes into account your past and present flexibility, muscular strength, joint health, posture, daily habits, activities and goals.

The overall intention is to enhance your ability to squat, bow, lunge, twist your hips, as well as, normalize spine function, and improve shoulder and arm range of motion. Incorporating proper breathing and gait is also important to enhance your day to day living.

Advanced assisted stretching along with fascial / muscular work can play an important role in improving range of motion.
